HOSTEL DESCRIPTION According to Patriarch and historian Doueihi, Mar Gerges Convent was built in 1605. It is located at 20 Km of the capital Beirut on a hilltop overlooking the coastal area of Antelias in the heart of a scenic pine forest.
It represents a key environmental heritage site due to its biodiversity signifcance with regard to the whole neighborhood.
The location is also characterised by local traditions and handcrafts practices in a rural landscape rich in cultural diversity and archaeological site.
