HOSTEL DESCRIPTION
According to Patriarch and historian Doueihi, Mar Gerges Convent was built in 1605. It is located at 20 Km of the capital Beirut on a hilltop overlooking the coastal area of Antelias in the heart of a scenic pine forest.
It represents a key environmental heritage site due to its biodiversity signifcance with regard to the whole neighborhood.

The location is also characterised by local traditions and handcrafts practices in a rural landscape rich in cultural diversity and archaeological site.

1- Beit Chabab town that is close to Mar Gerges-Bherdoc Convent is well known for bells production and pottery

2- Chaouyeh town is the hometown of Philosopher-writer Amine Rihani

3- Al Fraykeh Town encompasses a museum for the philosopher-Writer Amine Rihani
