HOSTEL DESCRIPTION
arcenciel is a 20 year Lebanese NGO working with and for the persons in difficulty. Its overall mission is to participate in development. In the framework of its youth program arcenciel manages 3 youth hostels. arcenciel is also vice-president of the LYHF Lebanese Youth Hostel Federation. St Michel hostel is an old monastery located in Maasser el Chouf village, province of Mount Lebanon at a distance of 57 km from Beirut. The hostel is established in the center of the village, which is situated in the buffer zone of the Chouf Cedar Nature Reserve. The Maasser el Chouf village is known for its rural and mountainous landscape, with terraced crops and a traditional architecture made of stone houses.
